Getting Started with eM Client

CloudMailVault includes an eM Client license with the service, subject to the applicable license terms.

eM Client is a desktop email application for Windows and macOS that allows you to manage email accounts through a dedicated interface.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Your CloudMailVault email address
  • Your mailbox password
  • The incoming and outgoing server settings supplied for your account
  • Access to the applicable eM Client license or activation instructions

Step 1: Install eM Client

Download the application from its official website:

https://www.emclient.com/

Follow the installation instructions for your operating system.

Step 2: Add Your Email Account

Open eM Client and select the option to add a new email account.

Enter your name, email address, and the requested account information.

Step 3: Configure Server Settings

If automatic setup does not work, choose manual configuration and enter the server hostnames, ports, encryption settings, and authentication details supplied by CloudMailVault.

Do not guess server names or ports.

Step 4: Test Your Account

After completing setup:

  1. Confirm that existing messages appear.
  2. Send a test email to an address you can access.
  3. Reply to the test message.
  4. Confirm that incoming and outgoing email both work.

Troubleshooting

If setup fails, verify your credentials and server settings. Check whether your network or security software is blocking the connection.

For license activation issues, refer to the license instructions provided with your subscription.

If you need technical assistance, contact CloudMailVault support. Never share your mailbox password in a support ticket.
